Description

  • Culinary Leadership: Oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food preparation, presentation, and quality. Lead by example to instill a culture of excellence in the culinary team.
  • Team Development: Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing kitchen team. Foster collaboration, growth, and accountability while maintaining a positive work environment.
  • Menu Execution: Partner with the management team to execute a menu that aligns with the restaurant's vision of premium casual dining with a neighborhood feel.
  • Operational Management: Monitor kitchen operations to ensure adherence to food safety and sanitation standards, inventory control, and cost management.
  • Financial Oversight: Support budgeting and financial performance goals by managing food and labour costs without compromising quality.
  • Event Support: Collaborate with the Events Manager to ensure seamless execution of private events and banquets.

Requirements

  • Proven Leadership: A minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in kitchen management, preferably in high-volume, premium casual dining environments.
  • Culinary Passion: Deep knowledge of food preparation, presentation, and operational best practices.
  • Hospitality Focus: A natural ability to create an environment where every guest feels valued, with a commitment to delivering exceptional experiences through culinary excellence.
  • Team-First Mentality: Strong leadership skills with a focus on teaching, coaching, and empowering kitchen teams to succeed.
  • Business Acumen: Experience managing budgets, food costs, and labor expenses, with a willingness to grow in this area if needed.
  • Event Experience: Familiarity with event and banquet kitchen operations is a strong asset.
  • Self-Starter: Highly motivated, proactive, and results-driven with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
