• Provides Human Resources consultation and coaching to assigned client
departments on a full range of HR functions including employee relations,
recruitment & retention, succession planning, salary planning, performance
management, corrective action, discipline and conflict resolution, facilitating
change and transition
• Manages and coaches HR Business Partners and acts as their escalation point as
• Guides and facilitates change in organizational culture and/or values consistent
with business strategies. Effective change agent that ensures positive employee
experience during all transformational initiatives
• Provide day-to-day support to Executives, Managers and Employees within the
assigned client-group(s) on all HR related matters
• Maintain knowledge of progressive HR practices and trends to drive
departmental initiatives
• Monitors Employment Legislative initiatives, anticipates the effects of impending
legislation on the organization, and develops action plans for timely compliance.
Ensures proper compliance with all employment-related laws and regulations
• Coach business leaders on leadership behaviors and practices, employee
communications, development and performance management strategies and
tactics to promote engagement and a culture of continuous growth and
• Identify, gather and provide requirements to help with the development of HR
policies, programs and initiatives and participate in implementation
• Provides leadership and direction to HR Business Partners, including hiring,
performance management, coaching, development and management of all other
employee related issues
• Coordinate the tri-annual performance review process within the assigned client
group(s) and ensure alignment with corporate initiatives.
• Promoting Health and Safety by ensuring compliance in partnership with General
• Collaborate with Manager, Recruitment & On-Boarding to ensure recruitment
needs are met within assigned business unit
• Manages employee relations issues and conducts and/or oversees investigations
as required
• Working closely with management and employees to improve work
relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention.
• Leading Human Resources projects assigned by Senior Manager, HR
• Manage multiple priorities in an energetic, fast-paced environment 


• Extensive knowledge of HR legislation and best practices in Canada
• 10+ years of experience in Human Resources
• 5+ years in a management role
• Proficiency in MS office, including: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio
• Strong screening and interviewing skills including behavioural interview
• Experience in a Manufacturing environment an asset
• Self starter and results oriented
• Highly organized with a strong attention to detail
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate
with employees and management
• Ability to handle situations professionally with sensitivity, diplomacy and tact
• Must be a team player with strong leadership skills
• Experience with Ceridian Dayforce an asset
