Description

The key objectives of this role is to grow sales revenue and increase market share while continuously improving processes through effective people management, cost management and flawless execution.
A quality of leadership is required that encourages staff to achieve department goals, while actively promoting a culture that is customer-focused, loves building new and existing business relationships and is accepting of change as the business continues to grow and evolve. This position will be responsible for the strategic planning, growth and leadership of this high-performing team. The successful candidate will possess a growth mindset, be humble and focused on continual development of the team, the business and themselves. 

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a Hotel General Manager of Director of Sales and Marketing, Full-Service Hotel experience required
  • Exude a positive approach and proven ability to always lead
  • Passion for hospitality
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Strong understanding of Rooms, Food & Beverage, Revenue Management, Sales, and Marketing
  • Proficient computer skills particularly in Microsoft Office products. Ability to learn Marriott systems. Past Marriott Hotel experience, an asset
  • Proven leader and excellent communicator with experience in motivating, coaching & training
  • Strong financial acumen to compile budgets and offer financial reporting for all departments
  • Experience in presenting financial budgets, strategic plans, forecasts to COO and Board of Directors
  • Ability to identify priorities and plans/organizes responsibility
  • Strong organizational skills, diligence, ability to multi-task under pressure, and creative critical thinking skills are necessary.
  • Customer Relationship Management experience
  • Ability to lead a strong, experienced operations team
  • University degree in hotel management or related field, an asset
