Summary

Our client is in start-up mode and is Western Canada’s premier cannabis retailer. Their mission is to help guide their customer's cannabis journey towards an enhanced enjoyment of life through education, service and support. They seek an expereinced multi-unit operator who can provide leadership to retail staff through coaching, mentoring and training to ensure the objectives and standards of the business are met while achieving targets and fostering the growth of the business.

Description

  • Set clear goals, objectives and plans to meet budget targets and ensure accountability for performance
  • Provide feedback on pricing, store layout and promotion to increase market presence and location performance
  • Drive the Company mission, vision and values by leading through example and ensuring good communication and feedback between stores and head office
  • Implement best practices and benchmarking to improve district performance and process improvement
  • Lead and mentor staff by ensuring development and training is in place for all personnel within district
  • Lead, plan and manage new store opening projects as required
  • Develop and maintain a high level of knowledge of Cannabis & Cannabis accessories
  • Develop and maintain high level knowledge of all applicable Federal, Provincial & Municipal Cannabis regulations. Ensure all stores within district are compliant with legislation

Requirements

  • Post-Secondary Education in related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of management experience in the retail, restaurant, grocery or other service industry with responsibility for financial results and reporting on key performance measures
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills with ability to deal effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Excels at operating in a fast pace and community environment with respect and integrity
  • Ability to build and maintain a diverse team with a customer focused culture
  • Strong cost management, cost reduction and cost controls skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office to include Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Must be willing to submit to and successfully pass a comprehensive background & criminal check from AGLC
  • Flexibility to work non-traditional hours including days, evenings and weekends
