Liz began her retail career working part time in high school and never looked back. From hands-on roles in store operations through corporate business analysis to senior roles developing and launching industry leading Gift Registry programs, Liz has done it all. Her experience covers store operations, marketing, analytics, training & development and more. As a seasoned retail professional with a strong track record for success and a broad range of skills and experience, Liz has just the background needed to understand client needs and deliver candidates who fit.
Liz’ first full time retail role was with BiWay in a corporate Operations role. At the same time, she continued her studies in General Business and Human Resources, while also adding a part time role as a Keyholder just to learn more about the business.
Moving to the Bay as Sr. Executive Assistant to the President, Liz gained a unique, high level view of this iconic Canadian brand. She then moved to a store level role, gaining additional insight into retail in her roles as Human Resources Manager/Assistant Manager. Capitalizing on her broad range of retail experience, Liz then moved into a Business Analyst role as part of a cross functional team implementing new business intelligence software.
Shifting back into operations, Liz became National Gift Registry Business Manager for HBC/Home Outfitters, where she developed new marketing and vendor programs while also developing and facilitating new customer service and training programs.
Moving to Associate Vice President of Gift Registry at Sears Canada, Liz then focused on developing a new wedding and baby registry brand, including a new lead generating trade show model, consultant training and development, on-line gift registry platform, multi-channel sales and other initiatives that resulted in significant revenue and customer awareness increases.
From there, Liz joined Bed Bath & Beyond and BuyBuyBaby as National Customer Experience & Sales Manager. While there, she leveraged her previous experience to develop and deliver a new store training plan that was rolled out across 11 new store openings in Canada and then used as the model for the rest of North America. She also developed a new registry web conversion program, a new trade show strategy, new Registry events and more, all resulting in significantly increased business and strong relationships with the store and vendor communities.
Liz joined JRoss’ Toronto team in October of 2021 and is now focused on helping great retail brands find great retail leaders.
