From resorts to fitness clubs, restaurants, seniors living residences and private social clubs, Bobbi has added significant value in every role she has occupied, while building an extensive network of contacts throughout her career.
Bobbi started in the hospitality industry in her teens as a dishwasher, and several years later had advanced to roles in managing and assisting in opening some of the industry's leading restaurants. One key role involved acting as Managing Director for the Spoke Club, leading its opening and ongoing operation. With a high profile clientele, the Spoke Club is a private downtown club for those with interests in media, entertainment and the arts. Bobbi worked directly with the owners to successfully establish all policies and procedures, hire the initial management and culinary team, and then organize events.
Moving on to become General Manager for a SIR Corp property, Bobbi successfully introduced new internal controls and an innovative guest appreciation program, delivering significant improvements in operating results. Moving to a new role as Sales & Brand Manager for their Signature brand, she led sales & marketing for five downtown properties. While there, she developed their sales and large events departments and drove major sales increases.
In her next role as General Manager for a Chartwell seniors living residence, Bobbi improved financial controls, while continuing her track record for driving new business in spite of challenging market conditions. Then entering the world of ownership, Bobbi opened The Joint Café and significantly exceeded forecast growth. Once The Joint Café was operating smoothly, Bobbi branched out to also provide consulting services to the hospitality industry for resorts, fitness clubs, restaurants and other hospitality ventures in Canada and the Caribbean, and as far afield as Montenegro.
Positioning others for success has always been a key component of Bobbi's strategies for delivering outstanding results, and she joined JRoss Hospitality Recruiters in 2016 to do just that. Bobbi is based in our Toronto office and serves our hospitality clients across the country.
