  • Ongoing creation and analysis of plan-o-grams as they relate to product turnover, with all floor plans, photos, changeover details etc., updated and filed for reference 
  • Communicates with stores on a daily basis for fostering relationships and a two-way flow of communication 
  • Responsible for the timely introduction of new product to the floor 
  • Creatively promotes and maintains stock levels on the floor 
  • Co-ordination of advertising and markdowns 
  • Communication with buyers i.e. hot items, markdowns 
  • Responsible for the execution of window set up, prop production, planning effects, mannequins, styling, etc 
  • Promotes “SHARE THE VISION” through colour co-ordination, “looks of the season.” “colours of the season,” key items, etc 
  • Manages team with the objective of attaining location profitability targets trough implementation and maintenance of visual display 
  • Motivates and leads staff regarding, store cleanliness, department job lists, health and safety practices, dress code, staff relations and compliance with Sporting Life policies and procedures 
  • Promotes Human Resources initiatives through ongoing coaching, and fair and consistent leadership 
  • Complies with Health and Safety legislation and policy and procedures 
  • Recruits and selects superior staff and assists with staff development through ongoing coaching, succession planning, performance appraisals, and fair and consistent leadership 
  • Provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers 


3-5 years Visual Merchandising experience in apparel retail – ideally with a focus on in-store merchandising.  A Degree/Diploma in Arts, Design, Display Design/Merchandising, or related field is preferred along with a strong creative vision.
