Contribute to the development of the Commissary’s strategies for driving efficiencies, cost reductions and delivery accuracies.
Analyze business performance, understanding the Commissary’s key drivers to develop and adjust programs to ensure that KPI’s are met or exceeded.
Ensure the Commissary is sanitary, fully-operational and meets all required standards.
Ensure food production in done according to all required standards.
-Provide thought leadership and expertise; including sharing and documenting internal and external best practices.
Oversee the hiring, training, staffing and scheduling of all Commissary staff.
Oversee and support and mentorship and development of supervisors and staff members.
Procure, organize and manage supplies, inventory and kitchen equipment.
Manage and maintain time and attendance system
5+ years senior level of managing food production in a high-quality, volume-oriented environment.
Excellent interpersonal, written and communication skills.
PC literacy (Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel).
Proven business acumen and financial savvy.
Experience with provincial health and food safety regulations.
Passionate culinarian with great palette and sense of presentation.
Experience with kitchen ordering, operations and inventory systems.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and work well in an environment with time constraints.
Detail-oriented with good organizational skills, performing work accurately and efficiently.
Ability to develop, implement and maintain systems for staff.
Ability to effectively train and develop staff and build team morale.
Ability to hold others accountable for following company standards and procedures.
